Short answer: Streamate sells minutes, not tokens. Watching is free, the meter starts when you enter a paid chat, and the model sets the rate. The operator is ICF Technology, trading since 2003.
Quick verdict: three numbers carry this review. GOLD, the tip currency, is flat — “One GOLD is equal to one US dollar.” A prepaid 60-minute block takes 20 % off. Every account has a daily spending limit you can drop to $25. Per-minute rates are set by each model and not printed on any page we could read. We hold no Streamate account: compared from public data, read 15 September 2026.

What Streamate is and who runs it
Streamate cams run on paid minutes. You open a room, watch the free feed, and pay only when you enter a paid mode — Party Chat, Private, Exclusive, Voyeur or a Gold Show. There is no token wallet for show time.
The operator sits in the site’s own configuration file, under the key company_name_icf: ICF Technology, Inc. Footer addresses are PO Box 21508, Seattle, WA 98111, USA and ICF Tech EU B.V., Haaksberg 75, 1101 BR Amsterdam.
The model contract names the EU entity: “a binding agreement between you and ICF Tech EU B.V.” Governing law is the state of Washington, EU claimants go to court in Amsterdam, and the page was last amended 21 May 2021. The footer copyright runs from 2003, and the recruitment site repeats it: “Collaborate with a trusted company founded in 2003.”
Support is [email protected] and (866) 941-3982. Complaints go to [email protected], 2257 reports to [email protected].
Two names often attached to Streamate do not hold up. Flying Crocodile appears nowhere in the footer, config or terms — we checked all three on 15 September 2026. Streamray Inc. is a different network, behind Cams.com.
The Jerkmate link has a clean public answer, and it comes from Jerkmate. Its recruitment page states: “Jerkmate is the official marketing partner and customer source for Streamate models.” Applicants there need an active Streamate account. Our Jerkmate review covers the billing side.
Streamate prices: GOLD, per-minute rates set by models, GOLD Shows
Two money systems run side by side, and mixing them up is the common mistake. GOLD is the tip unit: “GOLD is a site currency that you can send to a performer anytime,” fixed at one dollar. Paid chat is billed by the minute and has nothing to do with GOLD.
The first tip still needs a card. The FAQ describes a one-time activation fee that “will be credited back to you” once used, run through RocketGate with a CVV check.
Per-minute rates are the model’s decision, and no page on streamate.com prints a figure. The FAQ promises the number in front of you instead: rates are “listed in your local currency before you enter the chat.” The recruitment FAQ says the same from the other side — “There are no minimums…it is completely up to you to set your price!” Anyone quoting one rate for all Streamate cams is guessing.
Mode names in the site’s own config:

- Exclusive — “Exclusive chat sessions are just between you and the performer.”
- Gold Show —
goldshow, the group mode described below. - Cam2Cam — shares your video with the performer “during private sessions.”
A GOLD Show splits one show across several buyers: “special group shows where several members chip in to watch.” The interface labels the button “Flat rate interactive group shows.” The model sets length, goal and pledge price. You pledge GOLD during a countdown and join automatically when the show starts. If she cancels before it begins or during it, “you will not be billed.”
Fan Clubs sit on top, discounting Private or Exclusive shows depending on the plan — and at least one plan type carries no show discount at all. The r/camgirlslove wiki entry for Streamate, dated 23 June 2026, puts the Gold Show button beside “Gold Menu, Tip Vibe, and Spin The Wheel.”
Block sessions and the daily spending limit
Discounted Block Sessions are the one price lever with published numbers. You prepay a length of time for a lower per-minute rate: 15 minutes 5 % off, 30 minutes 10 % off, 45 minutes 15 % off, 60 minutes 20 % off.
Because it is a percentage, the arithmetic works at any rate. A 60-minute block costs what 48 undiscounted minutes would. A 30-minute block costs what 27 would. Fifteen minutes saves you 45 seconds of the same room. Two conditions: “the purchased time must be taken all at once,” and if the show runs long, billing continues at the discounted rate.
The Daily Spending Limit is the clearest thing Streamate publishes about money. Every account starts with one. Hit it and “your current chat will close,” with no further spending until the next day. You can move it down yourself, “as low as $25,” and support can raise the ceiling.
Our own Stripchat account has no daily cap at all. The only spending control we found there on 14 September 2026 was auto-refill, which is off by default.
What is free on Streamate
The official FAQ lives inside the site’s configuration file — 17 entries, rendered by JavaScript. Its own words on cost, read 15 September 2026:
- “You won’t be charged unless you join a paid chat session.”
- Membership is free and there is no monthly fee.
- A Free Premium Account exists, registration costs nothing, and Premium members can enter private shows.
- When a model is online and available you see her “free, live video.”
- Nicknames must be 4–32 characters, alphanumeric, no spaces.
One thing we will not claim: whether you can watch with no registration at all. No page we could reach says it plainly, and we have no account to test it. If that matters, Stripchat is the site where browsing costs nothing and needs no card.
Age verification, billing descriptor and PayPal
The default age gate is self-declaration. The heading reads “This site contains sexually explicit material,” you are told to enter only if you are over 18, then given I Agree or No, I’ll leave. No document, no card.
The UK gets a different branch, hard-coded in the config: “UK law requires you to verify your age before proceeding,” then a redirect to Age ID. A British visitor meets an identity check a US visitor does not. The page also carries the label RTA-5042-1996-1400-1577-RTA and a 18 U.S.C. 2257 statement, with a footer line that “All models appearing on this website are 18 years or older.”
On the statement line, the site promises discreet billing and says it will show “one of the following” — then injects the list dynamically. It is not in the public config, so we cannot print the strings and will not invent them. For contrast, our own purchases: Stripchat billed as Paymentico.com on 14 September 2026, confirmed by the bank push; Chaturbate as mmbill.com on 3 September 2026.
- PayPal costs extra. A PayPal service charge, set as a percentage, “will be added to your final purchase.”
- EU VAT lands on top. It is billed after base charges come off your limit, and “VAT charges do not count towards your daily limit.” Canada gets provincial sales tax the same way.
- Deletion is a ticket, not a button. One branch in the config says the account cannot be deleted and to contact support.
Streamate typos and lookalike domains
There is one viewer domain, streamate.com, and one model domain, streamatemodels.com. On 15 September 2026 three typo spellings — streammate.com, streamate.co and streamates.com — all redirected to streamate.com with the affiliate parameter AFNO=2-29891.1 attached, so the visit carries someone’s referral code. A fourth, streamatr.com, does not resolve. We are not linking any of them.
Streamate for models: the short version
Broadcasters do not log in on streamate.com. The login is streamatemodels.com/login, with a regional site at streamatemodels.uk. Our walkthrough of that side, including the login failure modes, is on Streamate model login.
- Identity. Any government-issued photo ID, 18 or above in most areas, plus one profile photo.
- Review time. Applications are reviewed within 24–72 hours, and sign-up is “100 % free.”
- Your price. The recruitment FAQ is explicit that there are no minimums and the number is yours.
- Proof of address. The POA check is “mandatory for all the models” — a bill or statement under 90 days old, approved in 2–5 business days. Until it passes, nothing pays out.
One payout number needs a caveat. The $20 minimum applies to a cheque posted to a US address, paid Thursdays. Electronic methods sit higher — roughly $100 for ACH and SEPA, $200 for wire, on a Friday cycle. Two third-party sources match line for line, but the official page sits behind the model login, so treat that as reported, not published.
Scale and income claims are theirs, not ours: 2,500 websites in the network, 600 million monthly visitors, 10 million registered users, earnings of “$200 – $10,000+ per week.” One of their pages says over 2,000 sites where another says over 2,500. See also how to become a cam girl.
Reputation: Trustpilot removed, what Reddit says
You cannot score Streamate on review-site ratings, because they are gone or meaningless. Trustpilot no longer hosts a profile: the page for streamate.com reads “This profile has been removed,” because the business “goes against our guidelines.” That is Trustpilot’s wording, checked 15 September 2026.
The Sitejabber page for Streamate now redirects to smartcustomer.com. Read there on 15 September 2026: 2.5, built from exactly 2 reviews, dated 16 September 2013 and 29 September 2023. Two reviews across ten years is not a rating, and we do not score the site on it.
What is left is model-side discussion, nearly all about getting paid. Six items surfaced through search previews on 15 September 2026 — reddit.com is blocked for our tools, so we read previews, not threads:

- “Streamate newbie – are payments automatic” — reddit.com/r/CamGirlProblems, 17 posts, 30 April 2023.
- “Does streamate offer fast/instant payment option?” — reddit.com/r/CamGirlProblems, 10+ comments, about two years old.
- “Streamate "Paid by Studio" deduction from direct deposit” — reddit.com/r/CamGirlProblems, 4 comments.
- “Streamate Gold Shows” and “Streamate gold shows questions” — reddit.com/r/CamGirlProblems, 12 posts on 30 July 2024 and 7 posts on 5 October 2024.
- Streamate wiki page — reddit.com/r/camgirlslove/wiki/streamate, 23 June 2026.
Read that as a signal about where the friction is: payout timing and method limits, not viewer-side billing tricks. Six previews are not a verdict.
Streamate vs the sites we paid on
We have paid on three cam sites: Stripchat on 14 September 2026, Chaturbate on 3 September 2026, CamSoda on 4 September 2026. Streamate is not one of them, so what follows is structural.
The token comparison breaks first. Our benchmark puts Chaturbate at $0.079–0.110 a token, Stripchat at $0.096–0.116, CamSoda near $0.110 with a one-time 300-token intro at $14.99. Streamate has no token price for show time, so a cost-per-token ranking cannot include it — see cheapest cam sites.
What Streamate has that our three do not: a prepaid block discount reaching 20 %, and a daily limit with a published floor of $25. What they have that Streamate does not publish: price structure before you commit. On Stripchat we read private-show bands off the filter panel at 15:39 on 14 September 2026 — 3,542 rooms at 8–12 tokens a minute, 2,067 at 16–24, 1,536 at 32–60, 450 at 90 and above. Those bands group rooms by the prices those models had set at that moment.
LiveJasmin is the closest shape: per-minute privates at rates set per performer, thin free tier. We have not seen a block discount or a published daily limit on its pages.

Is Streamate free?
Partly. Membership is free with no monthly fee, and the FAQ says you are not charged unless you join a paid chat session. The free live feed shows when a model is online. Paid modes need an account, and a first GOLD tip needs a card because of a one-time activation fee that is credited back.

It is a real, identifiable business: ICF Technology, Inc. in Seattle and ICF Tech EU B.V. in Amsterdam, a copyright line from 2003, Washington State law, a 2257 statement and an RTA label. We cannot offer a review-site score — Trustpilot removed the profile, and the Sitejabber successor showed 2.5 from two reviews on 15 September 2026.
Is Streamate the same as Jerkmate?
Not the same company. Jerkmate’s recruitment page calls itself the official marketing partner and customer source for Streamate models, and says an active Streamate account is required to have a profile showcased there. That is a shared model pool documented by Jerkmate, not by Streamate.
How do I become a Streamate model?
Apply at streamatemodels.com, not streamate.com. You need a government-issued photo ID showing you are 18 or above, a computer and webcam, and one profile photo. Sign-up is free, applications are reviewed in 24–72 hours, and proof of address is mandatory, taking 2–5 business days before payouts can run.
Bottom line
Streamate is an old, plainly documented business with two unusual choices in the viewer’s favour. The block discount rewards planning over impulse, up to 20 % on an hour. The daily limit, which you can hold at $25, is published with its floor. CamSoda’s purchase window offered to raise spending limits after verification on 4 September 2026. It named no number.
The cost is opacity. No per-minute figure is published, so you cannot budget before opening a room. The descriptor is promised but not listed. PayPal adds a percentage, EU VAT lands on top of your limit, and the review sites give you nothing to lean on.
Open Streamate if you want per-minute privates with a real spending brake and you accept reading the price in the room. Start somewhere with free public rooms and visible price bands if you want to browse before spending — that is where our own money went.
