Quick verdict: worth a free account if you want a deep catalogue of user-written roleplay characters, plus voice and short AI videos on paid plans. Pay with care: prices show only after sign-in, the terms make refunds the exception, and data is usually kept six years after you leave.

What is GirlfriendGPT AI (GPTGirlfriend)?
GirlfriendGPT is a chat site for adults where you talk to AI characters written by other users, or build your own. Core features cost nothing; paid plans add messages, memory, voice, pictures and short videos.
The catalogue is large, and the operator’s year review, updated 7 May 2026, claims nearly 50 million users in 2025. That user figure is the company’s own claim, not an audited number.
The name comes in three spellings. GirlfriendGPT is the brand, GPTGirlfriend is the domain, and Girlfriend GPT is how many searches write it. Google results for the short spellings, checked 2 October 2026, mix in other chatbots’ landing pages titled “GPT Girlfriend”, so check the address bar.
GirlfriendGPT online is gptgirlfriend.online: the official domain and lookalikes
The official address is gptgirlfriend.online. Its footer and section 1 of the terms name NextDay AI as owner. ggptnetwork.com is a GirlfriendGPT sign-up page: its pictures load from the official site’s servers, it offers 30 free coins at sign-up, and the version the partner link on this page opens sends visitors on to gptgirlfriend.online.
gptgirlfriend.org is a different service that also calls itself GPTGirlfriend. Its terms, dated 27 September 2023, name no company, apply California law and set a 24-hour refund window, and the site does not link to gptgirlfriend.online. Another site ranking for the name calls itself “Official”, yet its Visit button forwards to gptgirlfriend.online with a referral code (checked 2 October 2026).
Who runs GirlfriendGPT: NextDay AI, the roleplay company behind SpicyChat
NextDay AI Incorporated, at 4388 Saint-Denis in Montreal, owns the site with two subsidiaries named in the terms: NextDay AI USA Inc in Delaware and NextDay AI EU Ltd in Limassol, Cyprus. SpicyChat AI names the same company as its operator (read 9 September 2026), so the two roleplay sites are siblings.
The terms send disputes to the courts of Quebec (section 25). Section 19 caps the company’s liability at what you paid in the previous six months and gives you one year to bring a claim; section 23 waives class actions.
GirlfriendGPT pricing: what a GirlfriendGPT subscription gets you
GirlfriendGPT sells three paid plans, Premium, Deluxe and Elite, billed monthly or yearly, on top of a free tier. What each plan includes can be read in the site’s code; the price cannot.

Plan contents read 2 October 2026 from the plan cards in the site’s code. The plan selector in the character builder adds that its monthly figures are “the discounted monthly rate available with yearly billing”, so paying month by month costs more.
The code is not consistent on one point: the Premium card lists uncensored chats, while the Deluxe tagline reads “Premium + uncensored NSFW chats”.
Coins are the second currency. Videos, some image tools and gallery unlocks are priced in coins; for videos and the Character Pro image model, the app states the cost before generating. Terms section 1 adds that monthly message credits reset each month and do not carry over.

What GirlfriendGPT costs per month
Without an account you cannot see the current price: on 2 October 2026 the plans page redirected to sign-in. The only dollar figures the operator publishes sit in its FAQ answer to “What are the pricing choices on GirlfriendGPT?”: a Basic plan at $5 a month, Premium at $10 and Deluxe at $35.
That list does not match the current line-up: it has no Elite, and today’s plan cards have no Basic. Treat those numbers as history; the real price shows on the plan screen after sign-in.
Payment runs through CCBill and TrustPay, the two providers named in terms section 27. The checkout wording in the code offers card payment, a Pay by Bank option and one-time payments, plus Kakao Pay for Korean users. Subscriptions renew automatically, and the same text promises notice in advance if the renewal amount goes up.
Is GirlfriendGPT free?
Yes, with a small allowance. Terms section 1 gives an example: free users can create up to 2 or 3 characters and get a limited message count, “such as 10 to 20 messages in total”, after which chatting stops until you earn credits through tasks. The free plan card says “Free 20 messages” and lists community characters and a shared chat.
The site’s own text also names a welcome gift of coins for confirming your email, image-generation quests, and an Elite chat-model trial of 20 free messages, which may be the same 20 the free card lists. The texts read do not say whether sign-up asks for a card, and that was not tested.
GirlfriendGPT promo code: what actually exists
The operator publishes no GirlfriendGPT promo code. Its checkout has a coupon box, discounts come from yearly billing and in-app sale banners, and free coins come with sign-up. Codes on coupon sites could not be checked without buying, so none are repeated here.
A Google search limited to gptgirlfriend.online on 2 October 2026, for “promo code”, “gift code” or “coupon”, found no page from the company announcing a code. The hits were character and creator pages.
The GirlfriendGPT coupon box at checkout
The checkout wording in the page code includes “Enter coupon code”, “Apply Coupon” and “Invalid coupon”, plus a success message, “Promo code applied”, followed by the percentage taken off. So codes exist as a mechanism; who receives them is not public. The Community Guidelines (16 April 2026) also bar users from pitching each other with “advertisements, discount codes, or sales links”.
GirlfriendGPT discount: yearly billing and sale banners
The standing discount is yearly billing, charged once a year. In the Elite upgrade pop-up the yearly switch carries a “20% Savings” badge. The checkout labels its own figure as a percentage “off yearly discount”, filled in per plan, so the yearly saving on Premium and Deluxe is unseen.
Seasonal sale banners in the code, including a Cyber Monday version, promise a percentage off with a footnote that matters: “This offer is valid exclusively for free users.” The sales target free accounts, not current subscribers.
GirlfriendGPT app: Android, iPhone and the web app
There is no official GirlfriendGPT app in Apple’s App Store or Google Play. The app is a web app installed from the site, and Android users can also download an APK from it.
The terms still define a mobile app “available through Apple’s App Store or the Google Play Marketplace”. Searches of Apple’s US store and of Google Play on 2 October 2026 found no app from NextDay AI. Store apps titled “Girlfriend GPT” come from other developers, not NextDay AI. The operator’s download page says the opposite of its terms: skip both stores and install from the website.
The install page gives two-step instructions: on Android they end in Install App, on an iPhone in Add to Home Screen, and desktop browsers get an install link. It recommends current Chrome or Brave, because not every browser supports web apps.
If you use the APK, take it only from gptgirlfriend.online, the address the download page gives.
GirlfriendGPT video and image generation
GirlfriendGPT makes pictures from text prompts and turns them into short clips that cost coins. The plan cards promise custom 5-second videos on Premium and 10-second videos on Deluxe, with Elite getting the best chat and video models.
The operator’s blog announced image-to-video on 16 March 2026: pick a generated image, press Turn into video, describe the motion and choose a model. The post calls the feature “available exclusively for Deluxe and Elite subscribers”.
The cards and the post do not line up exactly: the cards list custom videos from Premium up, while the post reserves image-to-video for Deluxe and Elite. The upsell text in the code describes that feature as making videos “outside chat”.

What GirlfriendGPT allows: rules, the 18+ gate and moderation
GirlfriendGPT allows explicit roleplay for adult users with fictional adult characters, and its policies name content that is banned outright.
The Blocked Content Policy, last modified 16 April 2026, bans illegal content including sexual violence, incest and bestiality, and any content involving or resembling minors. On real people, section 1 says: “Deceptive or harmful impersonation of real individuals, public figures, or celebrities is prohibited.” The Underage Policy (13 April 2026) repeats the ban on anything resembling minors.
The Community Guidelines (16 April 2026) bar impersonating others and “uploading images of others without their consent”; under sexually explicit content they say “Refrain from posting: Images of real, unclothed adults”. Terms section 13 warns that using a celebrity’s name or image without consent “may infringe upon their rights”, and section 8 forbids putting another person in a photo without consent.
The Content Removal Policy (23 July 2026) lets anyone who sees their likeness ask for removal and promises a decision within 5 business days. A person depicted without consent who is refused can escalate, and a remaining dispute goes to an independent body at the company’s cost.
On 2 October 2026 the user-made catalogue still held characters named after real public figures; this site does not link to or recommend them.
Entry is 18+ only. The Underage Policy describes the gate as a prompt to affirm you are over 18. The site code also carries a fuller check “to comply with age-related regulations in your region”: a selfie age estimate or another method run by verification partners. Which one you get depends on where you are; not tested.
The moderation filter is built on the company’s “proprietary LLM technology”, and flagged content can be reviewed by staff and lead to account termination (Blocked Content Policy, section 3).
Cancel GirlfriendGPT, refunds and the NDAI.CHAT charge
Cancel on the manage subscription page before the next billing date, or the new cycle can be charged. Refunds come only in limited cases, and the checkout text in the site code says the bank statement shows NDAI.CHAT rather than the GirlfriendGPT name.
Cancelling
Section 27 of the terms (18 June 2026) lets you cancel recurring billing at any time from the manage subscription page of your account. A cancellation made before the next billing cycle stops future charges; one received after a new period starts can still be charged for that period. An email confirms the cancellation, and the plan then stops renewing at the end of the paid period.
If you paid through CCBill, the same section sends you to CCBill’s website: sign in, open the Billing tab, find the subscription and choose Cancel Subscription. TrustPay is named as the other payment provider, without separate steps.
Refunds: the exception, not the rule
Section 15 of the same terms states that GirlfriendGPT “does not offer refunds for subscriptions that have been paid for”. It adds that “in certain limited cases” a refund may follow a mistake by the company or a technical problem. Buyers who paid through CCBill must ask CCBill, whose own policies then govern; everyone else asks support, which decides case by case.
Requests are “reviewed and refunded within 14 days”, the section says, and a stricter refund law in your country overrides the policy. Section 27 adds that cancelling does not refund charges already made.
The charge on your statement
The checkout’s renewal note in the site’s code reads: “Your purchase will appear as NDAI.CHAT on your statement”. No descriptor appears on any other page read, so the line is unconfirmed until a real statement shows it.
Deleting the account, and the six-year clause
The delete-account prompt in the code says deletion happens within 30 days and can be reversed in that window through support on Discord. The prompt says nothing about billing, so cancelling the subscription first is the safer order.
The privacy notice, last modified 13 April 2026, keeps a longer memory. Section 12 says personal information is usually stored for “6 (six) years after you cease being a User”, counted from the day the account closes. You can still ask for erasure under section 19, and section 20 aims to answer within one month.
GirlfriendGPT alternatives: SpicyChat and five others
The closest alternative is SpicyChat AI, from the same company. The other five each beat GirlfriendGPT on at least one point: a price shown before sign-up, a clearer refund rule, or no public catalogue of user-made characters.

SpicyChat AI is the sister site. Since its 8 September 2026 price change it has charged a flat monthly fee, with no spendable coin currency.
CrushOn AI is also a character-chat site, but it prints its price table; the free plan gives 100 message credits a month (9 September 2026). Its terms rule out refunds of usage fees.

No GirlfriendGPT account was opened and nothing was bought for this review, so the checkout, the real plan prices, coin prices and the statement line are unseen. Chat quality, memory and video length in use are untested. Plan contents and checkout wording come from the interface strings shipped in the page code, which a given account may see differently.

Legit is not generous, though: liability is capped at six months of payments and refunds are the exception.
