About WebcamsChats
WebcamsChats is an independent review site dedicated to honest, tested coverage of live cam platforms. We used Stripchat, Chaturbate, CamSoda and BongaCams first-hand — accounts we opened and paid on ourselves, with more than six months on Stripchat and 13,360 BongaCams tokens bought in 2021 — and we say plainly on every other page when a platform was compared from public data instead.
What We Do
We research, test, and write guides for people who want to understand how live cam platforms work before spending money on them. Our focus is on accuracy: we flag when facts are uncertain, update pages when pricing changes, and do not present marketing copy as independent opinion.
That same approach now covers AI companion apps and NSFW AI generators, so readers can compare those before spending on either.
Our Review Methodology
We split what we publish into two clearly labelled kinds, and we never blur them:
- Used first-hand: Stripchat, Chaturbate, CamSoda and BongaCams — accounts we opened and paid on ourselves, so they can be compared against each other rather than described one by one. Stripchat has been in continuous use for more than six months. We also opened a Jerkmate account on 16 September 2026, but we have not bought a private show there, so what we say about Jerkmate’s per-minute pricing comes from its public pages, not from our own bills.
- Compared from public data: every other platform — MyFreeCams, LiveJasmin, Streamate, SkyPrivate, the random-chat sites and the AI apps — from their own pricing pages, published policies and help centres, checked on the dates shown in each article. Those pages say so in as many words.
In both cases pricing is verified against the platform at time of publication, date-stamped, and updated when it moves. We do not describe an experience we have not had. The full method is set out in How We Test.
We distinguish clearly between facts verified from official sources, facts from secondary sources, and claims we cannot confirm. When something is uncertain, we say so.
Who Writes This
WebcamsChats publishes under the site’s name rather than individual bylines. The people who ran the accounts are the people who write the pages, and they stand behind them collectively — a correction is answered by the same people who made the claim. We are independent: the site is not owned or operated by any cam platform, including any of the platforms we earn commission from.
Independence
We earn a commission from the affiliate programs of the platforms we review; the current list of every program is on our Affiliate Disclosure page. Which links on a given page are affiliate links is stated in the disclosure block on that page. This does not influence our ratings or editorial positions.
