Stripchat is a live webcam site. Rooms open in a browser with no account and no card. Tokens are the currency, and they turn free watching into a bill. The operator is Technius Ltd of Limassol, Cyprus. We bought 200 tokens for €15.99 and a €19.99 Ultimate month on 14 September 2026, so the screenshots here are ours.
Quick answer: watching public rooms costs nothing. Tokens pay for private shows, tip menus and albums. Our euro checkout ran from 43 tokens at €4.99 to 2,250 at €199.99. Every room price is set by the model, inside bands Stripchat allows.

What is Stripchat, and who runs it
Stripchat describes itself in one sentence. Its help centre article on the question, updated 15 September 2026, says it is “a free online community where you can come and watch amazing amateur models and porn stars perform interactive shows live”. The same article adds “Stripchat is 100% free with instant access from anywhere, at any time”, then, two paragraphs later, “we suggest the use of tokens”.
Both halves are true, and the second half is the one this page is about.
Mechanically it is a browser site, not an install. The site’s own tour for users says you can reach streams “from almost any device, mobile, tablet, laptop, or PC”. There is no viewer app: Stripchat states outright that it “does not offer a standalone mobile app through the App Store, Google Play, or as an APK”.
What the phone offers instead is a home-screen shortcut, which is why our mobile screenshots show an install prompt and not a store page. The one app Stripchat itself points to in the stores is Plasma Streaming, and that is broadcasting software for models. We cover the whole muddle on our Stripchat app page.
The operator is easy to pin down, which is rare in this niche. Stripchat’s DSA transparency report of February 2026 names the service provider as “Stripchat (Technius Ltd.)”. The footer we photographed on 14 September 2026 gives the address: Technius Ltd, Spyrou Kyprianou 75, Flat/Office 102, Potamos Germasogeias, 4042 Limassol, Cyprus.
One of the card descriptors is EPOCH.COM*Technius, so the same name reaches your statement. A founding year is a different matter — we searched the help centre and found none, so we do not give one.
Size is the site’s own claim, not our measurement. The footer says Stripchat hosts “over 150,000 amateurs, professionals, and couples … every month”. What we can date is the live counter: 10,823 rooms streaming at 00:25 on Monday 14 September 2026, and 8,066 the same afternoon at 14:37. Those are two readings, not a constant.
Is Stripchat free? What is free, and what costs tokens
Free, with a hard edge. You can open the front page, pick a room and watch a live public show without registering and without a card. That is the part the “100% free” line refers to. A free registered account adds public chat and favourites, and it still needs no payment method. Verify the email and you also get into the hourly token draw.
One thing we cannot state cleanly is private messaging, because Stripchat does not either. Its article on chatting says “Only Ultimate members and Friends can send private messages to models”. Its user tour says models “can set up a price for their private chat”.
The perks table on the site, which we photographed on 14 September 2026, marks private chat with models as available to registered accounts. Ultimate is described as unlimited private messages, which implies free accounts are limited rather than blocked. Three official answers, no number anywhere, so we give no number.
Tokens: the currency, and what it buys
Stripchat calls tokens “a form of online currency”, and spending them on a performer is tipping. By its own list, tokens pay for entry to Private, Exclusive Private, Spy and Group shows, and for a model’s photo and video albums. They also fund offline tips, room goals and the crown: the King is “the highest tipper in the room within the last 12 hours of streaming”.
Tipping is optional, and the help centre is candid about the effect — models “usually respond better to users of unique requests after being tipped”.
A tip menu is where most beginners spend first. It is the joystick icon by the chat box, listing activities with prices, and choosing one pays for it in the same click. The rule attached to it is firm: “Once tipped for the activity, models are obliged to perform it.”
Prices on that menu belong to the model. In one room on 14 September 2026 the items were 50, 150 and 100 tokens; in another, three items at 3, 10 and 25.
Our euro checkout listed seven card packs: 43 at €4.99, 86 at €9.99, 200 at €20.99, 520 at €49.99, 730 at €69.99, 1,275 at €119.99 and 2,250 at €199.99. PayPal had its own four: 40, 80, 180 and 460 tokens at the same four prices up to €49.99.
Our dollar reading from March 2026 was 43 for $4.99, 89 for $10.99, 200 for $21.99 and 520 for $49.99, which works out at $0.096 to $0.123 a token, with the $10.99 pack the worst of the four. Bigger packs are cheaper per token, and Stripchat says so: “the bigger the package, the higher the discount”. Full breakdown on our Stripchat tokens page.
There is one free token route, and it is a lottery rather than a bonus. “Every hour we give 50 FREE tokens to 10 users with verified email accounts,” the help centre says, from a “Get 50 Free Tokens” tab at the bottom of every chat room. A win expires in ten minutes if you do not claim it.

How does Stripchat work? Public rooms and the paid shows
Public rooms are the default. Everything else is a mode you buy into, and each mode has a band that Stripchat allows models to price inside. The band is the platform’s; the number in any given room is the model’s.

What rooms actually ask sits well inside those bands. The category panel at 15:39 on 14 September 2026 sorted privates into four price groups: 3,542 rooms at 8–12 tokens a minute, 2,067 at 16–24, 1,536 at 32–60 and 450 at 90 or more. In the rooms we opened that afternoon privates ran 32, 60 and 90 tokens a minute, and exclusives 44 and 150.
One model listed a ten-minute minimum on both. Minimums are a model setting: leave early and you pay the minimum, but if she ends the show you pay only the minutes used.
Two details catch people out. A private stops by itself when your balance runs out, so the show ends mid-sentence rather than running up a debt. And spying is cheaper than it looks only at the start: the catalogue we opened showed 8 to 60 tokens a minute, above the 4-token floor the help centre quotes, and a spy who messages the model loses anonymity.
VR is a normal private in a headset browser, with 154 rooms tagged VR Cams at 15:39 that day; we watched flat on a desktop, never in a headset. Our Stripchat VR page covers that properly.
Stripchat levels, leagues and Ultimate
Stripchat gamifies spending, and the system is public. Its article on the subject says user levels cover “guests, ultimate members, and 7 leagues with 100 levels total”. The leagues run Grey 1–9, Bronze 10–19, Silver 20–34, Gold 35–54, Diamond 55–79, Royal 80–99 and Legend at 100.
Grey means you have never bought tokens, and a model can switch chat off for Grey users. The first purchase moves you to Bronze and level 10 on the spot — ours did, and the congratulations email arrived within about two minutes. Bronze and Silver can slip back to “ex-” status at a zero balance; Gold and above cannot.
Diamond, Royal and Legend can hide their standing, though “you can only select Bronze, Silver, or Gold as your display league”. At the top the reward is a subscription: “Royal users get to enjoy the Ultimate membership and all its perks for life”.
The XP arithmetic is ours, from our own account panel on 14 September 2026, because the article gives no numbers: 5 XP per token spent, 500 XP for a first purchase, 5 XP for verifying an email, and 500 XP per level. Our two purchases plus tips put us on level 12, 73 XP into the step toward 13.
Ultimate is the paid membership, €19.99 a month on our checkout and $19.99 in dollars. We bought it on 14 September 2026 and cancelled it the same day, which took one dialogue and no retention offer.
The perks table on the site lists chat auto-translation, stream previews on hover, invisible mode, seasonal token offers, spicy emoji, anonymous tips, a chat badge, a username change, moderation powers if knighted, and 24/7 live-chat support. The username change is capped at once every 90 days. One line in the help centre is worth memorising before you buy: “purchasing Ultimate doesn’t automatically give you tokens”.
How to create a free Stripchat account
Registration takes about a minute and needs no card. The button is “Create Free Account” on the front page, and the form asks for a username and an email. They are tied together, and the help centre warns that a mistake cannot be corrected afterwards.
- Click Create Free Account and pick a username you can live with.
- Enter an email address. Stripchat sends “a unique, single-use account password” to it.
- Log in with that one-time password and change it immediately.
- Confirm the email. Verification is what makes you eligible for the hourly token draw.
- Skip the card. You only need one when you buy tokens.
Social sign-up shortens step two. Stripchat’s wording: “You can create your Stripchat account by either entering your email address or using your Google or Twitter account”. Through Twitter you approve the app, sign in, then choose a Stripchat username. Those three routes — email, Google, Twitter — are the only ones the help centre documents.
Buying comes with one extra gate that surprises people. Card and PayPal have to be switched on first: “In order to enable Credit Card and PayPal purchases, you must verify your account”, which means a hold under $2 on the card or documents.
And if you are searching for a way round the sign-up screen, Stripchat answers it in the same article as the registration steps: “there is no official way to skip the account creation process and bypass the Stripchat paywall”.

Username and email · no card to register or watch
Leaving is documented too, and it is self-service. The article updated on 15 September 2026 puts a Delete My Account button at the top right of Settings and Privacy, behind a pop-up and a Do It confirmation, with the account gone “right away”; we found it exactly there in our own account on 15 September 2026. Data goes later: “All your data will be permanently deleted automatically after 18 months”.
The step back is a separate article — log in, and a Restore My Account button emails you a recovery link. Nothing in the help centre says a token balance is forfeited, so we treat spending it first as our own precaution rather than a rule.
What your bank sees
Nothing on a statement says Stripchat. The site lists eight possible descriptors — EPOCH.COM*Technius, SegpayEU.com-TechChat, centrobill.com, www.cgbilling.com, Webbilling*Technius Ltd, Paymentico.com, Curo Payments and Technius Ltd — and says transactions “will appear confidentially under one of the following”.
Our €15.99 card purchase arrived as a Revolut push at 00:24 on 14 September 2026 reading “Paymentico — You spent €15.99”, while the receipt email came from Stripchat itself. If an unexplained line is why you are here, start with our Paymentico charge page.
How Stripchat models earn
The model side is flat where the viewer side is not. Whatever you paid per token, “models are always paid the same amount ($0.05) per token”, so the platform’s share moves with the pack you bought.
Stripchat then walks its own percentage upward: “On average, over 55% of all user spending is paid out”, closer to 60% once free promotional tokens are counted, 70% once transaction costs are included, and over 75% once chargebacks it absorbs are added. Those are its figures, in its article of 15 September 2026, not an audit.
Payouts run weekly, on Tuesdays, with one trap worth knowing: changing payment settings on a Monday or Tuesday cancels that week’s payout. Minimums depend on the method — $50 for Paxum, Yoursafe, Cosmo Payment, BTC and USDT, $100 for ETH, USDC, ACH, SEPA and Visa, and $500 for an international wire, which goes out every second week.

Two sources, kept separate on purpose. The quotes and the price bands come from Stripchat’s own help centre, read through its public API on 15 September 2026; every article we used had been updated between 12 and 15 September 2026. The screenshots, the counters and the euro prices come from our own account: a 200-token pack for €15.99 and one Ultimate month at €19.99, both paid by card on 14 September 2026 and both cancelled or used up since.
Where the two disagree, we say so rather than pick. Where neither has an answer — a founding year, a private-message cap, whether a deleted balance survives — we leave the gap open. Bottom line
Stripchat is honest about the shape of its offer, if you read both halves of the sentence. Watching is genuinely free and genuinely account-free, which is more than several rivals manage. Everything interactive is metered in tokens, which cost €0.116 each on the smallest card pack and €0.089 on the largest, and the meter rate in any room belongs to the model.
